GCY is a ministry designed to connect and minister to students in 6th-12th grade. It offers many opportunities for students to connect with their peers and grow in their faith throughout the week. The goal of GCY is to help students recognize their full potential in Christ and equip them to value their faith as they navigate life.
LiFT is a Sunday morning worship service for grades 6-12. It is specifically designed in a way that invites students to worship and hear the gospel preached in a way that relates to them. LiFT is the part of GCY that acts as the weekly common meeting where students can leave their problems at the door and walk into a fun, welcoming, and meaningful atmosphere.
Students are encouraged to utilize their talents in areas like the worship band, audio/visual crew, game team, and connections group. When students are empowered, they have a sense of belonging that is healthy for building relationships and being open to the teachings of Christ. We want Grace Chapel Youth to be “A Place to Belong.”
The purpose of our small groups is to teach, instruct, empower, and disciple youth in their faith by creating relationships with leaders who are able to invest their time and wisdom. Studies are hosted in people’s homes in order to create a relaxed and inviting setting. If you are interested in coming, please contact Pastor Mark Heotzler.
COLLIDE is designed for junior high students (grades 6-8) and involves the use of games, videos, and skits to teach lessons from the Bible. COLLIDE meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and has a very relaxed setting, beginning with snacks and games and ending with a Bible study and prayer. With groups made of 8-12 students, this is the perfect place for youth to not only grow in their faith, but to grow in friendship with other students and leaders as well.
Table Talk is our Senior High (grades 9-12) Bible study that meets Sundays at 6:30pm. Students are challenged to dig deeper into the Bible through more in-depth studies and apply the truths they find to their lives. Leaders and group facilitators disciple the students, pray with them, and hold them accountable to be faithful in all areas of their lives. Table Talk gives students the tools they need to navigate life during and after high school.
The weekly programs are designed to connect students to an environment where they can be fed spiritually and encouraged by leaders. Events, however, are designed to reach out to students who might not be a part of Grace Chapel. All upcoming events will be listed in the Church bulletin and the events page of the website.
