The Cares ministry can be reached by contacting 724-962-5000 and choosing Option 3. One of our Care Coordinator Team Members will talk with you about your needs and provide our teams with a way to reach you.
In times of surgery, hospitalization, illness, or relocation from your home, it is comforting to know that you are not alone. Our Visitation Team is available when called upon to make home, nursing home, and hospital visits to provide you and your family comfort, prayer, and companionship.
With the birth of a new baby, the passing of a loved one, or a period of recovery from illness or surgery, meals are a much appreciated way of knowing that people are here for you. In circumstances such as these, talented volunteers from our At Home Meals Team are poised and ready to do their very best to provide meals for you.
In addition, when our church is called upon to officiate funeral services, volunteers from the Bereavement Meals Team can help arrange funeral dinners as a way to extend compassion in a difficult time.
Difficult financial times are a reality that we will all encounter at some point in our lives. Whether due to a job loss or other challenging situations, it can be difficult to know where to turn.
Our Benevolence Team is here to help you navigate the community organizations which might be able to meet the need that you are experiencing, as well as, to see how we as a church can assist and guide you personally. Grace Chapel also regularly offers a personal finance support group to help families and individuals prepare for and navigate financial struggles.
Counseling Support Network
In our lives, we all have moments when we need someone that we can talk to. Whether we are seeking spiritual guidance, need help and support in the wake of a crisis, or are turning to someone trustworthy to help make a life decision, the pastoral counseling and support groups that Grace Chapel Community Church offers could make a difference in your life.
In the case of needed transportation to doctors appointments, medical testing, or surgery, volunteers from our Transportation Team can coordinate drivers to help you get to where you need to go.
Prayer is at the very core of how our church can provide care in times of need. Our prayer team invests countless hours asking God to help the members of our body through difficult times. Volunteers from the Prayer Team are available following all of our services, as well as, to pray with you by phone throughout the week. Our Team also uses these opportunities to serve as a way to determine if any of our other caring teams can assist you in your time of need.
While our entire Cares Ministry is committed to the privacy of those in need, appropriately sharing prayer concerns give us the chance to join with one another and call upon God’s grace in greater numbers.
When someone experiences joy or sorrow, improved health or illness, we want to let them know their church is thinking about them. Members of our card team send cards to our parishioners to let them know they are loved and thought of.
If you are in need of any of the above services, or are interested in serving one of these or our other Cares Ministry Teams, please contact Debra Thomas or Jennifer Lauer at 724-962-5000. For information on serving in the community, click this link https://grace-chapel.net/serving-our-community/
