For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me... I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Cares 4 Kids Backpack Project
HOW CAN YOU HELP TO FEED A LOCAL CHILD IN NEED?
In the U.S., 1 in 7 kids face food insecurity and/or hunger. More than 18 million children qualify for free or reduced price meals, giving them the fuel that they need to get them through the week. But what happens when these children are home for the weekend?
The Cares4Kids Backpack Project fills this gap. Started in 2009, The Backpack Project serves children in need throughout the Hermitage School District. Bags of nutritious, easy to prepare food are discreetly sent home each Friday during the school year. The Project is funded through donations from the members of Grace Chapel along with local charitable organizations and businesses.

We're always looking to grow our Packing S.E.R.V.E Team!
We join together weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm at Artman Elementary to pack food bags for local children. Be sure to check our Events Calendar for the most up-to-date packing schedule!
